Skydive Spaceland’s Coronavirus Response

(as of June 6, 2021)–We are deeply focused on keeping our team, our customers, and our guests safe while enjoying the skies over Spaceland. The coronavirus pandemic and the resulting stay-home shutdowns have been a difficult time for everyone worldwide, and restarting business in a way that our staff and our customers feel reasonably safe is a multifaceted challenge. Skydiving is all about having fun while minimizing risk–that’s one thing that definitely hasn’t changed. 🙂

Here are a few notes on our current COVID-19 control practices. We’ll likely be modifying procedures as guidelines evolve, so stay tuned. We are all in this together and we are really looking forward to flying with you!

TL:DR: Don’t visit if you’re sick, social distance 6 feet from others when possible, and masks are recommended but not required.

Please don’t visit us right now if:

  • You are ill now
  • You have been ill with COVID-19 or exposed to any ill people confirmed to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days
  • You have any of the following symptoms:
    • Coughing
    • Sneezing
    • Fever higher than 100º Fahrenheit
    • Shortness of breath
  • If you are over 65 years of age, current guidelines suggest that you shelter at home for now due to increased risk of severe illness if you do contract COVID-19. We would suggest you wait until those guidelines are lifted to skydive, but that is of course your call.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Observe 6-foot social distance whenever possible, indoors and out. This includes our office.
  2. Masks are recommended but not required throughout the facility and in our airplanes.
  3. Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds after using the restroom, after skydiving (you know you probably touched your face when you put on your helmet, sunnies, or goggles) and frequently throughout the day.
  4. Pack it in, pack it out. If you bring personal items here, take them with you when you leave unless you are renting a locker and they are stored inside. Remember, NO FOOD of any kind may be stored in lockers.
  5. Note: Everyone should bring their own masks/hand sanitizer.
  6. We will be filling loads and manifesting normally.
  7. Please don’t socially distance from your tandem instructor in freefall. 😉
